Calling all Clark County, WA Paper Crafters! I’m holding a Close to My Heart papercrafts workshop on Saturday, November 16th in Vancouver. If you’re interested, please contact me right away because today is the cut-off for ordering supplies in time to be here for the class. Both classes will be going on at the same time and I will reply to you with the class location and details.

Card Class – Make 10 Cards for $20*

Holidays from the Heart cards by CTMH, made with the new 2013 Sparkle & Shine B&T Duos paper

* Price does not include the $5/person for renting the building. We will have access to the building from 1:45 – 9:45 PM and I will start the class shortly after 2 PM and will be on hand through 6 PM (maybe later) to assist and guide you.

This workshop is for making 10 “Holidays from the Heart” Christmas cards (with envelopes) and/or a gorgeous paper Christmas tree. Please let me know if you’re registering for one or both of the classes.

Use the pre-cut holiday paper I’ll prepare for you (from the Sparkle & Shine Paper Packet) to assemble 5 of each card (10 total 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ White Daisy Die-Cut Cards & Envelopes) for $20. Bring your own adhesive and use my Santa Claus stamps, blocks, ink pads and embellishments. I’ll show you how to make the cards & will be there for any assistance. I need to order the supplies ahead of time, so I will need a head count and payment NO LATER than Fri 11/8. How many sets of 10 does each attendee want to make? I will need to collect money via PayPal so I can order the supplies in time for the class.

Make a Paper Christmas Tree for $20* or $10*:

CTMH Trees

* Price does not include the $5/person for renting the building. We will have access to the building from 1:45 – 9:45 PM and I will start the class shortly after 2 PM and will be on hand through 6 PM (maybe later) to assist and guide you.

The cost is $20 to make one tree, and I will offer guidance and provide instructions as we make a tree together. I will pre-cut all the shapes with my Cricut and together we will assemble them. Bring glitter glue, hot glue gun & glue sticks and any extra embellishments you want to use. This price includes using pre-cut snowflakes, red & white twine, red and white ribbon, and other embellishments I will bring. You may also use my stamps, inks & blocks. In addition, I will have some embellishments on hand to purchase if someone really wants to really be-dazzle their tree.

If anyone prefers to bring their own paper, it’s $10 and I will give them instructions so they will know what size to cut their shapes ahead of time. We’ll need to make sure they have the right Cricut cartridges to make the cuts on their own paper before class. They’ll need to bring their own hot glue gun, glitter glue and they can use my cut snowflake shapes, inks, blocks, stamps and embellishments. They may purchase extra embellishments if wanted. I need to order the supplies ahead of time, so I will need a head count NO LATER than Fri 11/8: how many trees does each attendee want to make? Are you choosing the $20 or $10 option? I will need to collect money via PayPal so I can order the supplies.

Thank you!

About Stephanie Chumbley

Growing up in the shadow of the Space Needle, I loved drawing portraits with a #2 pencil and sometimes a ballpoint pen because I liked the challenge. I collected pens and pencils and enjoyed looking at fonts and logos and replicating them by hand. I was in AP art classes in high school and took some graphic design classes at Seattle Central. While in college, I had a part-time job making signs for Drug Emporium / Longs Drugs with my "Steph Font." In my 20s, I made a lot of invitations for dinner parties and later, when I bought my Cricut Expression electronic cutter in 2008, I started making cards for all occasions. In 2009, I discovered Close to My Heart and enjoyed being my Consultant's best customer... but in May 2011, I finally gave in and became and Independent Consultant. It was a very good decision! :-) Nearly everything I make is given away or sold so others can enjoy some handmade art. I've made over 1,000 cards and projects and this blog serves as a way to share and hopefully inspire others to create projects of their own. Someday I hope to catch up and blog about all the cards I've made.
