A Birthday Card for Mom
This card could be replicated for anyone, but I made it specifically for my mom. The inspiration for the card was this pretty Prima flower I got for a steal at Unique Creations Scrap ‘N Stamp.
I used a few sheets of DCWV’s Lemon Flower Mat Stack with Glitter to make the rest of this card and added some gold ribbon, special black staples, gold puffy paint, and the stamped sentiment and punch are from Stampin’ Up!
My sentiment was slightly to the right, so I balanced it with this pretty black brad. I also dotted the eye with black paint and inked the edges of the cut-out shaped. I love that antique-look on paper! It reminds me of when I was a kid and I’d draw treasure maps and bake them in the oven or burn the edges. They’re hidden all over my parents’ house, tucked under carpet on the stairs and dropped into an open area under the kitchen sink cabinet. Maybe Mom and Dad will find them when they remodel the house or re-carpet the stairs. 🙂
Thanks for reading my blog, and have a great weekend!
