We have experienced record-breaking hot temperatures in the Pacific Northwest this week, and last night I enjoyed making cards at Terry Bolender’s house while my brain melted in the heat.  Terry is my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and she fed us delicious cupcakes she made from scratch that morning as we created six beautiful cards and a cute treat bag made of paper.

My treat bag failed, so I won’t be sharing a picture.  Instead I’d like to share these five cards with you!  These were not designed by me, but I made them myself based on the sample.  Everyone’s cards turn out “different but the same.”

About Stephanie Chumbley

Growing up in the shadow of the Space Needle, I loved drawing portraits with a #2 pencil and sometimes a ballpoint pen because I liked the challenge. I collected pens and pencils and enjoyed looking at fonts and logos and replicating them by hand. I was in AP art classes in high school and took some graphic design classes at Seattle Central. While in college, I had a part-time job making signs for Drug Emporium / Longs Drugs with my "Steph Font." In my 20s, I made a lot of invitations for dinner parties and later, when I bought my Cricut Expression electronic cutter in 2008, I started making cards for all occasions. In 2009, I discovered Close to My Heart and enjoyed being my Consultant's best customer... but in May 2011, I finally gave in and became and Independent Consultant. It was a very good decision! :-) Nearly everything I make is given away or sold so others can enjoy some handmade art. I've made over 1,000 cards and projects and this blog serves as a way to share and hopefully inspire others to create projects of their own. Someday I hope to catch up and blog about all the cards I've made.

    • Thanks! 😀 The stamp set with the Eiffel Tower, crown and Victorian key is on my wish list. I want to go to the Goodwill thrift store to get some sheets of music I can use for backgrounds – I think making dimensional paper flowers out of sheet music would look cool, too.

  1. Love these! Did you use new SU paper? I haven’t blog-surfed to see any of the new stuff yet! Wait til you see the new CTMH papers!!! I’m sure Christine has already shared her excitement with you 🙂

    • Yes! This is all new SU! stamps, papers and supplies – cool stuff, isn’t it? I have yet to catch up with Christine, so I’ll ask her about the new stuff if I get a chance to see her at tomorrow’s Scrapbook Expo. 😀
